Capital punishment: Man gets death for rape and murder
Akhtar and Khalid Mehmud kidnapped a boy in 2010, raped, strangled and killed him.

A court on Tuesday awarded the death sentence to a man for rape and murder of a boy.
A Jaranwala additional sessions judge awarded death sentence to Nadim Akhtar. Akhtar was a resident of Khurarianwala in Faisalabad district.
According to the prosecution, Akhtar and another man, Khalid Mehmud, had kidnapped a boy in 2010, raped him, strangled him and thrown the body in a drain. Mehmud has been imprisoned for seven years.
