KARACHI: Rangers claim to have arrested a gang of criminals, involved in taking bribes in the name of law enforcement agencies during a raid in Abbas Town, Gulshan-e-Iqbal. The Rangers spokesperson said that some calls and written complaints were received at the Rangers Help Line that a few individuals were taking money from the families of arrested individuals. It had also come to light that these individuals used to contact the family of the arrested individuals and ask for money to facilitate their release. Two impersonators and a serving police official were running this illegal racket. Reacting on the complaint, the Rangers personnel tracked down the criminals and busted the gang. They also managed to seize the extorted money.
