Clarification: NWQL lab says no samples pending

The National Water Quality Laboratory (NWQL) has clarified that “No sample is pending and all due test reports have either been issued or are available for collection.” In a clarification on a story “Faulty apparatus: Thousand of samples pending in water lab”, published in The Express Tribune on April 21, stated that the instrument identified as a “photometer” in the story is actually called a “flame photometer.” The spokesperson said, “Flame Photometer” can only analyze two test parameters (sodium & potassium) and is fully functional. In NWQL, substitute and alternate testing methods and equipments are available for chemical and microbiological water samples testing.
