Robbers arrested: Alleged kidnapper shot dead

KARACHI: An alleged kidnapper was killed in an encounter with the police in Baldia Town. The police claim to have arrested a group of men allegedly involved in bank robberies during a raid in the city’s outskirts on Wednesday. The alleged kidnapper, identified as Bashir Baloch was said to be involved in several kidnapping for ransom cases and was killed during an encounter in Baldia Town. The police said the incident took place when the Ittehad Town police raided a place being used as a hideout by kidnappers in Ittehad Town’s Mill area. Police officials said that one of the deceased’s accomplices managed to escape when both sides opened fire.
