Thar crisis: Health emergency response project set up
Muslim Aid, Fauji Fertilizers join hand to provide treatment to poor patients, nutrition to child, mother.

A UK-based charity organisation and a local company have teamed up to launch health emergency response project to help draught-affected people of Tharparkar in Sindh, said a press release.
The project was launched by the Muslim Aid and the Fauji Fertilizer Company at a ceremony here on Monday.
Addressing the launching ceremony here on Monday, the Muslim Aid Chairman Dr Manazir Ahsan said his organisation and FFC had pooled funds for the project that will benefit more than 20,000 poor patients for six months.
He said that besides health needs of the people, the nutritional needs of mothers and children would also be met.
He said that his organization had already provided around 4,000 permanent shelters to the flood-affected people in Thatta, Dadu and Shahdadkot districts whereas two basic health units and one school was also reconstructed.
Speaking on the occasion the FFC resident manager Brig (retd) Ifitkhar Ayub added that collaboration with Muslim Aid was the true reflection of the commitment his company for the welfare of marginalised communities all over the country.
