Birth defects: Call to establish clubfoot clinics
Instruction was issued to health officers of Hyderabad, Thatta, Mirpurkhas, Sukkur, Jacobabad and Dadu in a letter.

Sindh Health Department has asked various district health officers and the superintendents of medical institutes to establish clubfoot clinics and research centres in their respective hospitals. The instruction was issued to health officers of Hyderabad, Thatta, Mirpurkhas, Sukkur, Jacobabad and Dadu in a letter with the aim of eradicating the birth defect by early intervention. The condition has remained largely neglected in Sindh. The letter stated that orthopaedic surgeons of all hospitals will be trained for two weeks by the USAID initiative.
