Brutal murder: Court remands suspect who allegedly burned nurse to death

She confirmed that the man standing in the court was the same who was involved in an affair with Samina.

A district and sessions court sent on Tuesday a suspect on judicial remand till April 25 over his alleged involvement in torturing and burning a nurse to death.


A civil judge and judicial magistrate in district West, Kanize Fatima Zulfiqar, sent Muhammad Asif to jail in the case pertaining to the murder of the nurse, Samina. The nurse was found burnt to death in Khuda Ki Basti, Surjani Town, on April 7.


The victim's friend, Summiya told the court that she and Samina had become acquainted with Asif and another man. She added that they used to frequent a café after their shifts at Sindh Govt Qatar Hospital.


In their last meeting, she said that the two had gone somewhere on Asif's motorcycle. She confirmed that the man standing in the court was the same who was involved in an affair with Samina and had taken her on his motorcycle from the café.
