District Coordination Officer (DCO) Noorul Amin Mengal said on Sunday two infrastructure development projects had been approved for Faisalabad.



Talking to newsmen, the DCO said an international airport would be constructed in Faisalabad and an expressway would be built on Canal Road. He said canal expressway would start from Sahianwala Interchange and end at Gattwala. The project also includes construction of an underpass at Jhaal Khanoana which would cost Rs8 billion, he added.

He said the new international airport would help ease problems of air traffic and expedite development of central Punjab.
