Two men associated with UN go missing in Karachi
The men were visiting Dream World resort and were returning when they went missing on Thursday.

Two men, reportedly associated with a United Nations (UN) agency, were reported as missing by police late on Friday evening.
The men were identified as Farrukh and Sami. They were last reported to be in the Gulshan-e-Maymar locality in District West of Karachi.
Police sources said that the two men from Hyderabad were visiting the amusement and recreation center Dream World on Thursday. They have since gone missing.
There was a short dispute between the Gulshan-e-Maymar and Sohrab Goth police over jurisdiction with the Sohrab Goth DSP Qamar Ahmed saying the incident took place within Gulshan-e-Maymar police jurisdiction.
On the other hand, Gulshan-e-Maymar SHO Mir Samad confirmed that the men associated with a UN agency were missing, but added that they had gone missing when they were returning from the amusement center. Samad further said that the cell phones of the missing men had last been traced to Sachal locality located in District East of Karachi.
Officials said further investigation were underway.
Meanwhile, an UN High Commission for Refugees (UNHCR) official told The Express Tribune that none of their personnel were missing. He, though, added he could not speak for personnel attached with any other UN agency working in Pakistan.
Doctor killed
Unidentified armed motorcyclists shot and killed Dr Akram Shaikh in an act of target killing in North Nazimabad late on Friday night.
DSP Iftikhar Lodhi said that the Dr Shaikh was returning home from his clinic when armed motorcyclists shot and killed him. The motive for the attack was not immediately clear.
The official said further investigations were underway.
Dr Shaikh’s body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for autopsy and other legal formalities.
