Right To Vote: Petitions against PCB dismissed

The clubs had said they were registered with the PCB and therefore had a right to vote.

LAHORE: The Lahore High Court on Friday dismissed petitions by 35 cricket clubs against Pakistan Cricket Board for not allowing them to vote in the election for the Lahore Region Cricket Association. The clubs had said they were registered with the PCB and therefore had a right to vote.They said the PCB had not let them participate in the election. PCB’s counsel submitted that the clubs did not fulfil the requirements set by the PCB and were ineligible for voting. After hearing arguments from both sides, Justice Ayesha A Malik dismissed the petitions.
