SUKKUR: A woman was shot dead by men over an old enmity near Central Jail-II on Minara Road within the limits of C-section police in Sukkur on Thursday. Mai Siyani, wife of Hajan Bullo and a resident of Pannu Aqil, had come to meet her husband in jail with her sister-in-law, Amna. Mai Siyani’s husband is currently under trial in a murder case. After meeting her husband at the district and sessions court, Mai Siyani was waiting near central jail for a wagon to Pannu Aqil when four men opened fire at her and fled. Her sister-in-law remained unhurt. The body was taken to Civil Hospital, Sukkur, for an autopsy and then handed over to the family. SHO Iqbal Domki told The Express Tribune the murder was a result of an old enmity between two groups of the Bullo tribe. No case was registered till the filing of this report.
