Issues of justice: Two-day judicial moot this week

Judicial Conference held annually to discuss improving administration of justice in country, say spokesperson.

ISLAMABAD: The Law and Justice Commission of Pakistan would organise a two-day International Judicial Conference on Friday and Saturday (18-19 April) at Supreme Court building. Chief Justice Tassaduq Hussain Jillani will inaugurate the conference, said spokesman for Law and Justice Commission. The conference would discuss several legal issues including judicial review of administrative actions, role of judiciary in protecting human rights, access to justice and role of judiciary in promoting culture of tolerance. Judicial Conference is held annually to discuss improving the administration of justice in the country, he said. The conference will be attended by the chief justices of the shariat court and high courts, judges of the superior and district judiciary, attorney general, advocates general, representatives of the bar, jurists and academia. Foreign luminaries in the field of law from around the world have also been invited to participate in the conference.
