Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairperson Najam Sethi has asked Moin Khan to visit Lahore on Wednesday where it is expected he will be asked to fill the empty chief selector post, Express News reported on Tuesday.

Once preliminary decisions are made, the rest of the selection committee will be shortlisted.

On April 9, Rashid Latif had declined to take charge as chief selector of the Pakistan cricket team, without giving any specific reasons for his decision.

Latif had accepted the post in February after the PCB had asked him to prepare a team for the 2015 World Cup. While turning down the offer, he said he does not want to get "embroiled in controversy". Officials close to the matter said Latif wanted to appoint former captain Mohammad Yousuf in the selection committee, but the PCB was reluctant.
