The city police officer (CPO) on Monday ordered action against 14 officers for their failure to arrest several criminals, including some proclaimed offenders. Haidar Ashraf reprimanded the officers after he was informed of their failure at a meeting.
The officers are Sub-Inspectors Muhammad Mansha, Muhammad Iqbal, Aftab Alam and Zulfiqar and Assistant Sub-Inspectors Abdur Razzaq, Babar Khan, Muhammad Amin, Tariq Mehmud, Muhammad Asghar, Abdul Waheed, Abid Ali, Muhammad Hanif, Muhammad Ashraf and Zafar Iqbal. The CPO also ordered six police officers to improve their performance within a week. Otherwise, he warned, strict action would be taken.
