Govt scheme: Hajj applications from April 21

Designated online branches of 6 scheduled banks will receive govt scheme Hajj applications from Apr 21, says official.

ISLAMABAD:
The designated online branches of six scheduled banks would start receiving government scheme Hajj applications from April 21, said an official of the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony. Talking to APP, he said the erstwhile policy of first come first served will continue this year also. The applications could be deposited in online branches of National Bank of Pakistan, Habib Bank, United Bank, Allied Bank, MCB Bank and Agricultural Development Bank. Hajj package from south region (Karachi, Quetta and Sukkur) would be Rs262,231 and north region (Peshawar, Islamabad, Lahore,Multan, Rahim Yar Khan, Faisalabad and Sialkot) would be Rs272,231. Any person who has performed Hajj during the last five years will not be eligible to perform Hajj 2014 except as mehram or Haj e Badal, he said.
