Waste management: LWMC in Murree

LAHORE: The Lahore Waste Management Company has temporarily assumed the responsibility of solid waste management in Murree.

The LWMC will look after waste management for one month, focusing on removing open- heaps, de-silting drains, installing waste bins and improving the attendance of Murree’s sanitation crew.  A team of four assistant managers and 150 sanitation workers, headed by Operations General Manager Khalid Majeed, have left for Murree.
