Speeding kills: Seven killed, 15 injured in accident

Doctors say condition of eight passengers was serious.

SHEIKHUPURA: Seven people were killed and 15 injured in a road accident on Saturday in Sheikhupura. A speeding wagon was going to Sheikhupura from Khanqah Dogran. The tire of the vehicle burst, and the wagon fell into the fields near Dera Mulla Singh in the Farooqabad area. The driver, Zahid Iqbal, and passengers Nagina Shahzadi, Nusrat Bibi, Ghulam Abbas, Muhammad Shakir Ali and two others died on the spot. Fifteen other passengers were seriously injured. A Rescue-1122 team took the injured passengers to the Sheikhupura district headquarters hospital. Doctors said that the condition of eight passengers was serious.
