Fix your act: Petition filed against faculty

MBBS student of CMC files petition in SHC’s circuit bench in Larkana, asking shortage of professors at college be met.

Asif Ali, an MBBS student of Chandka Medical College (CMC), Larkana, has filed a constitutional petition in the Sindh High Court’s circuit bench in Larkana, asking that the shortage of professors at the medical college should be met. The petition has been filed against respondents - Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Medical University (SMBBMU) vice chancellor, principals of the CMC and Mahar Medical College in Sukkur, admissions director and registrar at the SMBBMU, Larkana deputy commissioner, the chancellor, Pakistan Medical and Dental Council, the government of Sindh and the federation of Pakistan. The petitioner has also asked that the court declare that the acts of respondents  contrary to the PMDC rules. Notices were issued to all respondents to file their replies on or before May 15, 2014.
