Fatal Celebration: Six-year-old killed in jubilation firing

A team from Rodala police station questioned a number of people at the wedding but made no arrests.

FAISALABAD:
A girl was killed and a boy received injuries in Rodala in firing during a wedding ceremony on Thursday. Police said that when the groom’s party arrived at the bride’s house, in the same area, some men started firing  in the air. Police said some of them were apparently under the influence of alcohol. One of the bullets hit a six-year-old girl who was a guest at the wedding and one boy. Ahmad Khalil was also injured. The injured were taken to a hospital. The girl succumbed to her injuries on the way. The boy was first taken to a local hospital but then referred to Allied Hospital in Faisalabad due to his critical condition, police said.
