Administrative delay: ‘Dispose of disciplinary cases quickly’
Chief Secretary Naveed Akram Cheema says no delay would be tolerated in fixation of pension.

Chief Secretary Naveed Akram Cheema on Wednesday said disciplinary cases should be disposed of within a month. He was presiding over a meeting of provincial secretaries. He said no delay would be tolerated in fixation of pension. He said 80 per cent pension should immediately be paid to officials facing inquiries. Finance Secretary Muhammad Jehanzeb Khan said amendments had been made in the rules and regulations of pensions and monthly payments would be made to pensioners. The chief secretary directed provincial secretaries to ensure timely recovery of government dues. Expressing satisfaction over the pace of the annual development programme, he directed secretaries of the departments falling in red zones to improve implementation of development programmes. Additional Chief Secretary Sohail Aamir, Home Secretary Azam Suleman, Information and Culture Secretary Momin Agha, Minerals Secretary Dr Arshad, and Health Secretary Ijaz Munir were also present.
