Gas supply to Karampur and its adjoining towns and villages was suspended due to rupture of 3-inch-diameter pipeline.

SUKKUR:
Gas supply to Karampur and its adjoining towns and villages was suspended on Tuesday morning, due to the rupture of a three-inch-diameter pipeline, supplying gas to these areas. The pipeline exploded near Begari canal, due to which gas supply remained suspended for more than five hours. Karampur police station SHO Ghulam Sarwar Buriro confirmed the damage to the pipeline and said that the Pakistan Petroleum Limited officials reached the spot and started the repair work, which was completed in three hours. The gas supply was subsequently restored to the affected areas. He ruledout the possibility of it being an act of sabotage as there was no evidence found from the site. According to Buriro, the pipeline exploded due to high pressure.
