Immoral video: Police to record report against Meera
Meera’s counsel says petitioner had not approached the court with clean hands.

An additional district and sessions judge directed police on Monday to register a complaint against actress Meera and Captain Naveed for disseminating an allegedly immoral video clip. The petitioner was told to approach the relevant police station. The judge said the SHO concerned would record any cognizable offence under Section 154 of the Criminal Penal Code. In case of a non-cognizable offence he should record the complaint and refer the complainant to the magistrate. Petitioner Shabir Muhammad had said that the respondents had damaged the image the country. He said YouTube was public ‘place’, and the video was un-Islamic. Meera’s counsel Ahmed Fahim Bhatti said the petitioner had not approached the court with clean hands.
