Cylinder blast: Three injured

Rescue officials say incident occurred in the basement of a marriage hall around 4:15 am.

ISLAMABAD:
Three men were injured when a gas cylinder exploded at a marriage hall near Khanna Pull early Wednesday morning. Rescue officials said the incident occurred in the basement of a marriage hall around 4:15 am. Emergency services from Islamabad and Rawalpindi responded to the call. An Islamabad Rescue 1122 officer said they sent three ambulances to the spot and shifted one man, identified as Sufiyan, to Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences. The other two injured men were shifted to the hospital by Rawalpindi Rescue 1122 ambulances. Their names could not be independently verified. The men did not receive burn injuries and were discharged after receiving basic treatment. The explosion also shattered the windows of some surrounding buildings.
