The media persons were subjected to police brutality and hauled away blindfolded. The policemen verbally abused the family during the raid and also looted half a dozen expensive cell phones and thousands of rupees in cash. The police officials kept both the anchorpersons hostage for six hours and threatened them of dire consequences. However, the two were released on the intervention of city police chief IG Shahid Hayat. Later the two filed an application in the Gulistan-e-Jauhar Police Station against SSP East, a reporter and a artist of a TV channel, police officers and others.
