Islamabad Police Assistant Inspector General Sultan Azam Temuri, who currently holds acting charge of Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Operations, has ordered the postings and transfers of 11 officers.


Among the transfers notified on Saturday, Ashiq Mehmood was made station house officer (SHO) Sihala police. He was previously serving as SHO Tarnol. Mehmood replaced Haider Ali, who was moved to the Rescue 15 division. From the same division, Abdul Sattar Shah was posted to the Bhara Kahu police station as SHO.

Shah will replace Muhammad Aslam, who has been transferred to Rescue 15’s Anti-Terrorism Squad.


Iftikhar Chatha was made the SHO of Koral police station. Koral SHO Najeeb Shah was moved to the same position at Shahzad Town police station.

Two officers were posted out from the police’s Anti-riot unit (ARU): Qaiser Niaz was made SHO Shalimar police and Asjid Mehmoois the new the SHO Sabzi Mandi police.

The existing in-charge officers of Shalimar and Sabzi Mandi police stations, Shaukat Thabal and Muhammad Zulfiqar, were transferred to the High Security Zone police and the ARU respectively. The ARU is used to deal with public unrest in the capital.

Malik Javed, who was previously serving in the High Security Zone police, was made additional SHO of the Sabzi Mandi police station.
