LAHORE:
The Polo Club in Lahore has increased the number of tournaments for the 2010-11 autumn season with the introduction of the Lahore Open and the PPA Polo Trophy.
The Lahore Open is an eight-handicap tournament, whereas the PPA trophy is an 18-handicap one, that are intended to provide opportunity for players who may not able to participate in the National Championship.
“We have talented youngsters and amongst them we can possibly find a future polo star,” said Lahore Polo Club President Irfan Ali Haider. “This season will provide a good opportunity to the selectors to pick young players for the upcoming Zone D playoffs in Malaysia in June 2011.”
