Posthumous awards: Over 60 fallen soldiers decorated

LAHORE: Over 60 fallen soldiers and officers of Pakistan Army received Tamgha-e-Basalat posthumously at an investiture ceremony held at Corps Headquarters Auditorium in Lahore on Friday. Commander Lahore Corps Lt Gen Naweed Zaman decorated in all 126 officers and soldiers with military honours and awards. The honours were awarded to the recipients in recognition of their acts of gallantry, outstanding performances in respective fields and for their long meritorious services. The ceremony was attended by the General Officer Commanding Maj Gen Bilal Akbar, DG Rangers (Punjab) Maj Gen Khan Tahir Javed Khan, Acting GOC Brig Allah Nawaz besides a large number of army officers, JOCs, soldiers and families of the award recipients.
