LAHORE: An additional district and sessions judge on Friday dismissed the after-arrest bail of a woman accused of blasphemy. The woman said that she had been implicated in a false case. Her counsel said that the police had completed their investigation and the alleged offence was not made against his client. He said that his client had not been convicted of any crimes in the past and should be allowed bail. Advocate Ghulam Mustafa Chaudhary, counsel for the complainant, said the woman had committed blasphemy by claiming to be a prophet. The judge said that the woman had apparently committed a “gruesome, sensational and heinous offence”.
