PESHAWAR:

Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) Inspector General of Police (IGP) Nasir Khan Durrani ordered on Wednesday the transfer of DI Khan DPO and suspended the Pharpur SDPO along with the Pharpur SHO with immediate effect.

The decision was taken over their poor performance in controlling the law and order situation.

Since the last few days, crime in DI Khan has shot up, with two big bank robberies in two consecutive days reported from the same area.

An official dispatch also states that the DPO, being a supervisory officer, failed to implement provisions of the K-P Sensitive and Vulnerable Establishment and Places (Security) Ordinance 2014. Taking notice of this, the IGP ordered the transfer of the DI Khan DPO who is directed to report to the Capital Police Office with immediate effect.
