Iranian national found hanging from a tree in Balochistan

The Iranian national was kidnapped from Chagai district as he entered Pakistan via the Taftan border.

QUETTA: The body of an Iranian national was found hanging from a tree in the Mashkail town of Balochistan on Tuesday.

“The body bore multiple marks of torture and he was hanged to death,” Assistant Commissioner Asghar Syapad told The Express Tribune. Balochistan Levies personnel found a piece of paper from the body that read “death to the informer of Iran”.

The deceased was identified as Mohtaj Ubair, a resident of Sistan-Baluchestan which borders Pakistan. who had come to Pakistan to visit his relatives where he was abducted.

The body was shifted to the Dalbandin Hospital for autopsy.

According to Mashkial administration, the Iranian national was kidnapped from Chagai district as he entered Pakistan via the Taftan border.

“The body will be handed over to their relatives after the legal formalities,” officials said. The local administration has started an investigation into the killing.
