PMDC: Seven-member body assumes charge

Committee formed by fed govt to replace executive council of Pakistan Medical and Dental Council.

ISLAMABAD: A seven-member management committee, formed by the federal government to replace the executive council of the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC), assumed charge on Saturday. The committee was constituted by the health ministry through an ordinance issued by the president on March 20. The committee, headed by Prof Dr Ghiasuddin Butt, included  Dr Faisal Sultan, Prof Dr Abdul Bari, Dr Naqeebullah Achakzai and one representative each from the law and justice division, the finance division and the health ministry. In its first meeting, Minister of State for NHRC Saira Afzal Tarar assured the committee of all necessary support and urged them to work without fear or favour. “The committee would perform its duty in a transparent manner to ensure a responsible and accountable PMDC,” she said.

but till now no responsibility shown by this M. committee even 1 & half months period passed we r still waiting for our registration to be issued
