Road accident: Woman killed in hit-and-run

Police say driver of trailer fled scene.

MUZAFFARGARH:

A woman was killed when she was hit by a trailer in Muzaffargarh on Saturday.

Police said Haider Abbas, a resident of Shehr Sultan, and his wife Nosheen Bibi were travelling on a motorcycle when they were hit by a trailer on Alipur-Muzaffargarh road.

Police said Nosheen Bibi died on the spot. Abbas was taken to a hospital where his condition was later reported to be critical.

The driver of the trailer fled the scene, police said.

Separately, two men were killed when they were hit by a tractor-trolley in Multan on Saturday.

Police said four men, travelling on two motorcycles, were on their way to Muzaffargarh from Multan when they collided with a tractor-trolley near Hamadpur Chowk. Police said two motorcyclists died on the spot. The identities of the deceased could not be fixed, police said.
