LAHORE:

After the attack on Express News anchor Raza Rumi, Inspector General Police Punjab Khan Baig said that the police provided security where they deemed it necessary.

Talking to Express News anchorperson Imran Khan, the provincial police chief called it a targeted attack – but insisted that Raza Rumi was not on any hit-list.

Khan Baig said it was premature to hold anyone responsible and that agencies followed up on every attack. He, however, disconnected the live call when the anchorperson asked him how many people on [terrorists’] hit-lists were provided security.

Faroz | 10 years ago | Reply Not only the media persons are under attack even Forces, Police persons are also under attack as common man is. Police are also doing their duties best. Raza Roomi also admitted that Police reached timely there. And Instead of Blame game we should considerate on the Nation effected issues rather then make ever issue to become political.. Media have to play positive role which is very effective for common man of Pak.
