Raid: Source reveals location of buried weapons

Raid conducted on information provided by accused allegedly involved in attack on SP Chaudhry Aslam Khan.

KARACHI: Law enforcement agencies recovered two suicide jackets as well as arms and ammunition from an empty plot in Shah Latif locality. The recoveries were made when the law enforcement agencies along with the intelligence agency officials raided an empty house in Shah Latif on Friday morning. The raid was conducted on the information provided by an accused, Mufti Muhammad Shakir, who was arrested from SITE for his alleged involvement in a suicide attack on SP Chaudhry Aslam Khan on January 9 on Lyari Expressway. The recovered jackets and weapons were buried in the ground and may have been used later in a terror attack. Further investigations are underway.
