KARACHI: Burj Bank Limited has extended its support to thousands of famine-affected families of Tharparkar district. Living up to their legacy of extending support in kind and time, volunteers from Burj Bank teamed up with Saylani Welfare International Trust (SWIT) and visited the drought-affected areas of Thar for a comprehensive rehabilitation exercise. The CSR programme was designed to reach out to 1,000 households with ration packs basic requirements for a 30-day period. The procurement, packaging and transport of the relief packets were managed by the volunteers of Burj Bank and SWIT. The volunteers from both organisations did not restrict themselves to Mithi but also ventured into the villages, such as Dhaklo. “We are proud of the efforts of our volunteers and I thank SWIT for their commitment and our successful partnership,” said Ahmed Khizer Khan, the president and CEO of Burj Bank Limited.
