Nuclear summit endorsed Pakistan's nuclear credentials: FO
NSS endorsement should put to rest unsubstantiated reports of Pakistan's alleged nuclear export to a third country.

The foreign office on Wednesday said that the recently concluded Nuclear Security Summit (NSS) at The Hague had served to endorse Pakistan's credentials as a responsible nuclear state.
Responding to a question about Pakistan’s assessment on the summit, spokesperson Tasneem Aslam in a statement said that the NSS Process has helped raise awareness about nuclear security.
During the summit, she said, the premier highlighted steps Pakistan has taken to ensure full safety and security of its nuclear facilities and materials.
"There was wide acknowledgement of safety and security of Pakistan’s nuclear programme and its safeguards."
The spokesperson added that the acknowledgement should "put to rest unsubstantiated reports cited earlier by certain quarters in Europe about Pakistan’s alleged nuclear export to a third country."
Though Pakistan did not join the 35 countries who pledged to improve nuclear security, the spokesperson said that the nuclear power will continue its constructive engagement with the NSS process.
