NADRA takes notice of 100,000 bogus birth certificates in Lahore

LAHORE: The National Database Registration Authority (NADRA) on Wednesday took notice of 100,000 bogus birth certificates issued in Lahore, Express News reported.

According to the initial details, around 150 union councils were involved in issuing these fake certificates.

Allegedly, the union council officials took bribes to issue the bogus documents.

Nadra officials said action will be taken against those responsible for the act.

According to NADRA rules, the chairperson is the signing authority for the issuance of computerised birth certificate.
