ISLAMABAD:
The office of the federal ombudsman is receiving around 3,000 complaints every month against government departments, said Federal Ombudsman Javed Sadiq Malik on Wednesday.
Malik gave a brief account about the organisation’s working, which is operating with eight regional offices and 641 staff members. The federal ombudsman said investigating officers try to mediate between the complainants and the departments against whom the cases are registered, he said, adding that “fifty one percent cases are resolved through mediation.”
“Investigation officers are given a target of disposal of 40 cases per month and the achievement over the recent years has been quite promising,” he added.
