Bomb explosion: Wholesale drug store targeted

A search operation was launched and a case was registered against unidentified militants.

BANNU: A wholesale drug store was damaged when a bomb planted by unidentified militants went off in the cantonment area of Bannu late Monday night. An official of Cantt police said the incident occurred at around 11pm, adding the device was planted near the main gate of the pharmacy in Sokari Zabta Khan area and detonated via remote control. He added the sound of the explosion spread panic in the adjoining areas. The official said police rushed to the spot soon after and reported that the drug store belonged to Zahid Khan. A search operation was launched and a case was registered against unidentified militants.
