Balochistan bans inflammable items on passenger vehicles
Two residential schemes for Christians almost complete: CM.

In the wake of a deadly road accident near the Gaddani area of Lasbela district that left 40 dead, the Balochistan government has banned passenger buses from carrying petrol, diesel, gas or other inflammable items in the region.
During his cabinet meeting on Monday, Chief Minister Dr. Malik Baloch directed the police and Balochistan levies to ensure that no transport company violates the ban.
He said many lives were lost in the accident as the passenger bus was carrying petrol, causing an explosion. “It is the responsibility of our government to ensure that such a tragedy does not occur again,” he said. Cabinet members offered Fateha for the victims of the crash.
He also discussed projects under way in the province, saying ‘it is necessary to complete these projects’. He also cautioned that the remaining funds allotted to these projects should be utilised appropriately.
He added that 80% of the work on two residential schemes for the Christian community in the province was complete, with the assistance of the federal government. “There is a need for more funds to complete these schemes and the provincial cabinet has approved the allocation of funds in the next PSDP.”
The cabinet approved the Balochistan Private Money Laundering bill, under which the loan of cash on interest will be penalised.
