KARACHI:
Ism Jan wants to meet Karachi’s police chief Shahid Hayat. She wants to tell him that her man had dedicated 27 years of his life to the police. She wants to ask whether the police will bear the expense of her four children.
SI Afraz Khan was one of the four unfortunate officers who were killed on February 3, when militants attacked their patrolling van in Ibrahim Hyderi. “Our men are giving their lives away for the police and for the people of this city. What are we getting in return?” she asks bitterly.
