PAKPATTAN: The medical superintendent of the DHQ Hospital in Pakpattan could not answer, satisfactorily, the questions put to him by the chief minister (CM) about the number and condition of the people injured in the recent blast at a shrine.

The CM gave him a warning to improve his performance or face the consequences of his inefficiency. Shahbaz Sharif visited the blast site and people present in the market adjacent to shrine about what they saw. The CM was told that if entry from the eastern door had not been banned, the terrorists would have been successful in causing heavy loss of life.During a meeting with the family of the ones who lost their lives in the tragic attack, Sharif announced that the children would get ‘free education’ in addition to the compensation money, which he distributed among them. The CM also promised a government job to some members of the martyrs’ families.
