The farewell: Vacant posts of judges to be filled soon

Justice Mulk asks young lawyers to prepare themselves for exams.

ABBOTTABAD: Peshawar High Court’s (PHC) outgoing chief justice (CJ) Fasihul Mulk said that vacant posts of district judges will be filled soon. He said this while speaking at a farewell event arranged in his honour by the Abbottabad High Court Bar Association on Friday. The designated Chief Justice of the PHC Justice Mazhar Alam Miankhel was also present on the occasion. Justice Mulk asked young lawyers to prepare themselves for exams as the hiring procedure would start soon. He told the participants the high court building of the Abbottabad bench would be completed by October 2014 although it was scheduled to be handed over in June 2011. About the Havelian Judicial Complex, the CJ said 53 kanals of land has been acquired and construction work on the project would soon start. Justice Mulk asked the lawyers to utilize their professional capabilities for the service of humanity rather than making it a mere source of income. The president of the high court bar association, Fazal-e-Haq Abbasi, was also present at the occasion.
