The accident occurred in a school located in Ali Akbar Shah Goth in Ibrahim Hyderi, injuring five students. One of the students succumbed to her injuries shortly after the incident took place.
Ambulances are enroute to provide medical assistance to the injured.
This is not the first instance of fatalities in the country due to poor infrastructure.
Earlier this week, on March 18, an eight-year-old child was killed when the roof of a house in Maidan caved in due to heavy downpour, according to Lower Dir Assistant Commissioner Muhammad Ayaz.
Two other minors were also injured.
