Bank heist: Robbers escape with Rs8 million
The six men held the staff at gunpoint as they looted the bank.
KARACHI:
Four security guards of a private company allegedly took away Rs8 million from Habib Bank Limited (HBL) Gulberg on Thursday evening in the limits of Yousuf Plaza police station.
According to the police, security guards identified as Sameer and Rahmat along with four other accomplices came to the bank at 7:20 pm when the bank staff was about to leave after completing their duty.
The six men held staff hostage using their weapons and took away the money.
Police however, refused to share further details about the private company from which the bank had contracted the security guards.
The police are conducting raids to arrest the robbers.
