Release of prisoners: Govt committed to jail reform, says Hamza
Says he had also undergone six-month imprisonment and was aware of the problems of prisoners

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz’s (PML-N) central leader and Member National Assembly Hamza Shahbaz Sharif on Tuesday said government was committed to bringing reforms in jails. Hamza Shabaz, who is also the chairman of the taskforce on prisons, was addressing a ceremony on the occasion of release of 77 prisoners from Central Jail Kot Lakhpat in Lahore. He said he had also undergone six-month imprisonment and was aware of the problems of prisoners, adding that he was committed to resolve their difficulties. Hamza said prisoners would be provided all basic and recreational facilities including sports complex in the jails.
