President Mamnoon Hussain reiterates commitment of the present government to eradicate polio

ISLAMABAD:
President Mamnoon Hussain has reiterated commitment of the present government to eradicate polio from all parts of the country. Despite security challenges especially in Fata, Pakistan remains committed to the eradication of polio, he said chairing a briefing on the latest situation in the efforts for polio eradication. The meeting was attended among others by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Engineer Shaukatullah Khan and PM’s Focal Person on Polio Eradication Ayesha Raza Farooq. The meeting was informed that around 34 million children are being vaccinated in each of the national polio drives. President urged all the relevant authorities for providing security to polio vaccinators.
