Crime: Teenager reported kidnapped, raped

A teenage girl was reportedly gang-raped by five people in Kot Khaira on Monday. Jhang police said that five men had been nominated in the FIR. Rafiq Ahmed, a relative of the child, told media persons that the girl had been alone in the house when the men scaled the walls and overpowered her. He said they took her to a deserted area and gang-raped her at gun point. Some passersby were attracted by her crime. The rapists managed to flee, he said. “We have registered a case with the police but they have not taken any action so far,” Rafiq said. Jhang SHO said they were waiting for the medical examination report. “If the medico-legal report establishes that the girl has been raped we will arrest the suspects at once,” he said.
