MULTAN: Minister for Prisons Chaudhry Abdul Waheed Arain said on Monday 15 million saplings would be planted in the city with the help of embassies of Paraguay and Canada. He was addressing a meeting with Multan DCO Saleem Gondal. Arain said the ambassador of Paraguay had sought a plan in this regard. Arain said the government was hoping to send a plan to Paraguay at the end of this week so it could be executed within the month. He said the saplings would beautify the city and provide shade in the summer. The DCO said the district government had launched a spring plantation drive.     The DCO said the Forest Department and the Parks and Horticulture Authority would lead the campaign and engage schools and universities.
