Land auction: CDA to sell eight commercial plots

After a lapse of at least eight years, the Capital Development Authority (CDA) will auction eight commercial plots located in various model towns in the capital next month.


CDA will auction 32 commercial plots situated in various business centres and model towns of the city on April 2 and 3. The plots in the model towns are reserved for construction of banks and shops.


The commercial plots scheduled to be auction are located in Markaz F-7, Blue Area, Markaz F-11, G-9 Markaz, G-11 Markaz I-8 Markz, Fruit and Vegetable Market I-11/4, sector E-7, petrol pump in E-11/F-11 Blue Area, Markaz F-10, Sector F-11/1, economy flats in Sector G-11/3, hospital in Markaz I-8, Humak Town, Chak Shahzad and Rawal Town and shops in Margalla Town.

To ensure transparency in the bidding process, CDA Chairman Maroof Afzal has constituted an auction committee headed by CDA Member Finance. Member Planning and Design, Member Estate, deputy director general Finance, director Public Relations, director Estate Management-I and II are the other members of the committee. He has directed them to ensure that the auction is open and transparent and to facilitate investors.

Brochures containing rules and regulations for the auction process will be available at the One Window Operation directorate. Commercial plots are being auctioned to cater to the requirements of the city’s expanding population.
